Paris Baguette Cafe - Changi Airport, Singapore
November 12, 2018
The first time I heard the name, I thought it was a bakery chain from France. But, it wasn't. A bakery chain originating from Korea that utilizes the French way of cooking and baking. With over 3,000 chains in Korea and over 50 stores in the US, it sure has made a name for itself offering various cakes, breads, pastries as well as coffee.
To be brutally honest, I do not exactly remember what this was. I think it was either the egg or cheese tart. But I do remember that the flavour was not that flavoursome hence, we didn't really enjoy it thoroughly. The pastry was also cold and hard, and with every bite, it did not have the nice buttery taste.
One of their most popular quick desserts would be their 'Royal Pudding Original' which is in a cute glass milk bottle with a plastic top. The way you eat it is not to drink it but to instead, scoop bit by bit out of it. It can definitely be tricky in the end but it wasn't too bad overall. It was just a bit sweet. The texture reminded me of a custard pudding, so not so much like jelly but more of a pudding.
The royal pudding also has other flavours than the original but we thought that the original was already quite sweet, so can't exactly imagine how sweet the flavoured ones would be. They also sell sandwiches and salads as per the image below but am not sure if that's in every store or just here since it's at the airport.
*Please note that this is a delayed post, hence the menu may have changed since this visit. As we felt that the images should not go to waste, a written review has been made despite the delay.
