Serving Taiwanese style food, their menu offers a wide range of dishes that may cater to everyone's taste. Be mindful that during dinner, it may be quite full and you may just need to queue for a table. Though they only open till 9pm, it saddens you when you're wanting to buy their bubble tea but they've closed by the time you arrived.
'Braised Pork Belly and Side Vegetables' (AUD$12) served with rice. Though many may say this may not be as delicious as their signature, Pork Chop as we ordered as well. I did feel that this dish have what you need for your typical meal, side vegetables, omelette and Mapo tofu. The vegetables were cooked simply with garlic, the omelette were quite dry but when you eat it together with the tofu and dip the omelette in the sauce, it is slightly better. The rice covered basically half of the plate topped with a sticky mince beef in a soy sauce black bean base. I did feel that this was quite delicious though sometimes I wished they would give more of it.
The braised pork belly had a depth of flavour, not dry but I did feel that there was a big chunk of fat on the pork belly. Maybe more fat than their neighbour restaurant where we usually go to for pork belly and bbq pork. When eating it, do eat the rice with the different elements alone by itself first before deciding to mix the food together.
'Pork Chop and Side Vegetables' (AUD$11) served with rice. The side vegetables given were the same as above, the steamed garlic vegetables, omelette and Mapo tofu. Again, the rice portion was more than enough especially for one person eating. The pork chop is always the highlight of this dish, crispy and deep fried well on the outside with a moist and juicy meat inside. Sometimes the pork chop would differ in size when you order this.
