Nanny's Pavillion, Beachwalk, Kuta, Bali
November 18, 2014
Nanny's Pavillion is one of the few cafes in Beachwalk, Kuta in Bali. The place do give you somewhat a homey feeling and I have just realised that they do have quite a number of outlets around in Indonesia, each of them named under various rooms that you would typically have in a pavillion, such as Bedroom, Kitchen, Library, Sewing Room, Terrace, Barn, Playground, Laundry room and so on. This one here, in Beachwalk was there 'Barrel Storage', which is presented by their wooden interiors as well, as their counters being surrounded by barrels (see the photos below). Its concept is based on a French American pancake restaurant.
Established in 2009 in Bandung, Indonesia and since then have expanded throughout other cities. Many of their offered dishes comes from the tradition of family dishes including Nanny's Chicken Salad, Ynez's Blueberry Cheesecake Roll, Ted's Tenderloin with gravy, Kimberley's Green sausage pasta and so on. We came just to grab a coffee and something to nibble on since we were just trying to get away from the non-stopping-rainy day that's why we just ended up coming back to Beachwalk.
I forgot what this was but I think it was a mango Ice Tea |
If you just want a relaxing place to just have a chat and nibble on sweet things, then this may be your place, if not, then there are always Ice Cream stores or bubble tea etc in Beachwalk where you could go to.
