Sydney Madang may be called one of the best Korean restaurants in Sydney, hiding away in a dark alleyway in Pitt St. We were actually wanting to go to a different restaurant but since that was either too far or too hard to find, we decided to change our destination to Madang. With no banner or signs ahead or out in the street, it is quite hard to find it since we weren't Sydney locals but I'm sure the locals can find it just fine with their frequent visits and all. At night it may be much more visible with their light up signs infront of the restaurant which you would be able to see whilst walking past the alleyway, however during lunchtime, it wasn't such an advantage with the kind of dodgy alleyway, small entrance, a big sprinkler booster right next to it and all..
Sometimes the hidden cafes out in the suburbs may surprise you.. Though most of the top rated restaurants are located around the cbd area, this little cottage cafe is in Oatley, a suburb about 18km from the CBD offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch dishes in such a homey ambience..
Hanaichi is probably the most popular Japanese fast food available in Brisbane, which started a while back and originated in heart of Brisbane CBD. Now it has branches all over Australia including Gold Coast, Sydney and Sydney.. Offering a range of popular basic Japanese dishes, it has won the hearts and tongue of many people out there.. Though prices has gone up over the years, but you can still get them for under $10.. Just recently, they started offering Mini sizes in Westfield Chermside which I was quite surprised about.. Though the prices reminded of me of their regular size prices back then, and now regular and large sizes has gone up, here comes the kid's size..
Ole restaurant in Southbank, located at the heart of Little Stanley St, which now also has the Sangria bar near the restaurant itself offers a wide range of delicious tapas, raciones, paellas and desserts.. Oh, and don't forget the drinks. Tapas is what Spanish food is all about, small dishes filled with different texture and flavours, the perfect accompaniment for a drink.. Though this post may be a little bit too late, since I am aware of a tad change in the menu, but why waste a post filled with delicious food? So here it goes..
Killiney Kopitiam is one of various restaurants located on the 4th floor of TP Mall. It offers dishes such as Teh Tarik, Kwae Teow, Kaya Toast, Hainanese Chicken, Long Bean Balacan and so on. We weren't sure at first where to eat, wasn't too hungry and amongst the other restaurants, there were La Mian restaurants, Ramen, Sushi and so on and we weren't quite wanting them. So we decided to go here, having ourselves some Teh Tarik as well since it has been a while.
Yum Cha is everywhere around the world and one of the many best yum cha restaurants in Surabaya, Indonesia is called Ah Yat Abalone which also has a franchise in Jakarta and Bali. It is located in Java Paragon hotel boasting its fresh seafood and offering a huge range of chinese cuisines including assorted dimsims. It's interior seems to be just a function hall filled with tables and chairs, though compact and simple, don't underestimate since it gets packed easily during the weekend, making you having to wait for awhile. Parking is usually, well commonly valet over here.
