Fisherman's Wharf Tavern, Main Beach, Gold Coast

Seafood at the Gold Coast at night is what we did the other night.. Dine in at the deck and you can overlook Broadwater, live entertainments on the weekend, chill out and have a drink or two, it does get crowded at night so expect loud chatters and especially if there's a game on.. The cool breeze made it a nice cool night to dine in, though we didn't choose to sit outside since there seemed to be lack of light, we ended up sitting inside which allowed me to take better photos of the food as well..
'Seafood Basket' ($19.90) consisted of a selection of crumed & battered seafood which came with chips and salad.. A simple typical ordinary dish.. Wasn't anything special though but the portion of it was reasonable and for me, I wouldn't be able to finish the whole plate without anyone's help.. Chips were okay, not soggy but also not that crispy as I liked it to be..
The various seafood had calamari, fish, prawns, scallops and seafood bites..
Second dish that we ordered was the 'Steak burger' ($16.90), between a soft bun was a the steak fillet, caramelised onions, lettuce, tomato, beetroot and aioli, served with chips.. The steak burger was quite chewy, not hard and was done medium as we liked it.. The bun was soft with a crusty outer. A sauce would have been nice to dip the chips into but it wasn't much of a biggie for us.
