I could and was going to start off by storytelling the history of IPPUDO, but maybe I should just sum it up into a few.... well, maybe more than a few.. Since in Brisbane, there's no IPPUDO, I thought it would be nice to give an insight.. Originated in 1985 in Fukuoka in Japan which lead to their breakthrough in opening an international outlet in New York in 2008 and since then, they have started to branch out to various countries including Singapore, Taiwan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul and in 2012, they opened in Sydney.. Their mission has always been to spread "smile" and "arigatou" (thank you in japanese..) through the ramen bowls..
Seafood at the Gold Coast at night is what we did the other night.. Dine in at the deck and you can overlook Broadwater, live entertainments on the weekend, chill out and have a drink or two, it does get crowded at night so expect loud chatters and especially if there's a game on.. The cool breeze made it a nice cool night to dine in, though we didn't choose to sit outside since there seemed to be lack of light, we ended up sitting inside which allowed me to take better photos of the food as well..
Was feeling like sushi at night and wasn't sure where to go when I found Makoto through urbanspoon and decided to give it a try.. Ended up having to wait about 10minutes or so for seats since it was so packed with people and also queues too... Seatings are available on the sushi train or on the tables and we chose the tables which would mean a longer wait than the seats on the sushi train.. We couldn't be bothered trying to look for other restaurants or sushi places so we decided to stay and patiently wait..
If you want street hot dog food that will remind you of those American TV shows where the actors would stroll down the path at the side of the road and grab themselves a hot dog, well, this is the place to go.. Yes, it did somehow reminded me of those TV shows, not sure why though.. Harry's Cafe De Wheels has been out and about since the early 1930s with their 'pies and peas' and 'crumbed sausages' being the popular food back then..
Caffe Cino is located inside Hilton Hotel in Sydney's CBD.. It offers a range of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. Coffee and cakes are also served and so we decided to stop by here after walking and shopping around throughout the day..
