Beijing House, Queen Street Mall, Brisbane CBD
December 15, 2012
Feeling as if I've been eating Yum Cha numerous times these days, and maybe even in the same place more than a few times already... And it's usually generally similar dishes being picked out of the bunch... Beijng House, located in Queen Street Mall, next to this dogy underground karaoke, internet cafe and women clothing shops... Though the entrance may be walked past by many, some do tend to realise that there is a chinese restaurant upstairs..

Soy Sauce & Chilli Sauce |
Xiao Long Bao (Pork Soup Dumpling) |
Usually many would order this as this might be one of the favourites amongst all of the other dumplings with its soft pork minced meat with the soup from the heat from the steaming of the dumplings... A bite of it through the middle will leave you with soup dripping out of your mouth if you're not careful, so I would recommend to eat this as a whole... Think of it as a big bite...
"Lo Ma Gai" (Sticky rice with chicken wrapped in lotus leaf) |
As you can see from the photo above, that is how the sticky rice is wrapped, more like a cylinder or in a mini rectangular shape... Once you've opened it up, you can see the combination of the chicken, mushrooms and chicken sausage..
Stuffed Tofu |
Prawn, peanuts and chive dumpling |
Rice Paper Rolls has been another dish that I always tend to get when I go to Yum Cha... The Rice paper rolls really blend well with the BBQ Pork and the light soy sauce..
Squid Legs |
Egg Tarts |
